Leadership Team

Kohinoor Foods today reaches across India and over 60 countries worldwide. The vision has been made possible by the sheer dedication, determination, and resolve of three brothers - Jugal Kishore Arora, Satnam Arora and Gurnam Arora.

They understood that food is not just a product, it should be an experience -

  • How it smells
  • How it feels on the plate
  • How it brings people together

Based on this, they made the company scale new heights. The factors gave them clarity to make a guided decision. They left no stone unturned to guarantee success for the company, all because of their one simple approach – stay rooted in Indian culinary heritage while evolving the tastes across the world. This helped Kohinoor Foods grow with purpose, while maintaining its essence.

Teams across India and beyond work with the same intent – to form an indomitable team and to make Kohinoor a household name. What began as a family-led vision has grown into a global food brand – still grounded in tradition, yet made for the way the world eats today.

JUGAL KISHORE ARORA

JUGAL KISHORE ARORA

(Chairman)

Jugal Kishore Arora has been associated with the organisation since its inception. A graduate of Punjab University, he has been looking after and is in charge of procurement and production of the company.

With over three decades in the rice industry, his work begins far before processing, more precisely, in the field, where he assesses the grain and its condition. In fact, he has been largely responsible for the wide acceptance that the Company’s Basmati Brands enjoy all over the world today.

Mr. Arora established the first rice processing plant at Amritsar, followed by facilities in Murthal (Haryana) and New Delhi. His major contribution is in the areas of quality standardisation. He has pioneered the development of different quality parameters for Indian basmati rice by extensively engaging with the farmers, agro-scientists and research personnel to improve the quality and output of basmati rice.

Today, he continues to guide the business at a strategic level by taking the overall charge of procuring raw material (paddy) and selecting the optimal growing region, etc. and setting “QUALITY” standards for the company’s range of rice offerings.

His experience and skills have been a major key in providing a new strategic focus to the rice industry from a commodity-driven business to a branded category.

Over the 30 years of his experience, Mr. Gurnam’s focus has been on making rice more relevant to modern consumers. From introducing convenient packaging options to adding value beyond the grain itself, his work reflects a clear understanding of how people buy, cook, and serve.

Mr. Gurnam Arora oversees domestic marketing, procurement, administration, HR, quality control and day-to-day corporate affairs of the company. His broad vision helped the company to increase and strengthen its value, expanding its reach and making it a familiar choice for every kitchen.
