Note: The 10kg and 20kg basmati rice pack comes in fabric packaging. Whereas, 500g, 1kg, 2kg, and 5kg rice comes in the metallic laminated packaging.
There are three ways you can cook Kohinoor Extra Long Basmati Rice. Before cooking, soak the rice for 20-30 minutes, and then choose any of the following method to cook the rice –
Open Pot
- Add rice directly to the boiling water.
- Cook for at least 10 minutes on medium heat.
- Check if the rice is cooked properly, then strain and wash it in hot water.
Closed
- Mix water and rice (ratio of 1:¾ measure of water and 1 measure of rice).
- Boil in a heavy base vessel and cook for 10 minutes with lid covered on low heat.
- Allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
Microwave
- Mix water and rice in the ratio of 1¾:1 in a deep vessel.
- Cover with cling film and set the timer for 6 minutes.
Note: It is recommended to use 300g of rice at a time in a microwave to ensure proper cooking.
