Kohinoor Everyday Basmati Rice

Made for Everyday Cooking With Aroma and Ease in Every Meal

Kohinoor Everyday Basmati Rice comes from the snow-fed valleys of the Himalayas. It is grown in the most fertile lands of Punjab. This rice is mostly used to cook everyday meals that bring comfort and ease to the kitchen. The grain, when cooked, becomes soft and light with a mild aroma that arises gently as the rice steams.

Kohinoor’s everyday rice products are described as suitable for regular dishes like jeera rice, pulao, tahiri, steamed rice, fried rice, and even khichdi. The grains are handpicked, processed, and aged, which gives the rice its natural flavour and aroma.

Kohinoor Everyday Basmati Rice is perfect for everyday comfort meals and becomes more delicious when paired with dals, curries, sabzi, and simple side dishes.

For best results, soak the rice for 20-30 minutes before cooking. Once the grain slightly lengthens, you can prepare the rice using any of the three methods –

Open Pot

Add the rice directly to boiling water and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Once done, strain the water and rinse the rice with hot water.

Closed

Add 1 measure of rice to 1¾ measures of water in a heavy-bottomed vessel. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Microwave

Mix rice and water in a 1:1¾ ratio in a deep microwave-safe bowl. Cover with cling film and microwave for 6 minutes.

Note: For best results, cook only 300g of rice at a time.
