There are various ways to cook Nawab Long Aromatic Basmati Rice. However, you can pick the one that suits your routine and quantity.

Cooking Instructions

For better results, it is advised to wash the rice in lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Also, you can adjust the cooking time depending on how firm or soft rice you prefer.

Open Pot

  • Boil 4 cups of water.
  • Add 1 cup (200g) of rice. As per your requirement and taste, you can also add salt, oil, or butter.
  • Let it cook uncovered for 15 minutes and make sure to stir lightly with a fork from time to time.
  • Once done, strain the rice and rinse it in hot water, and serve.

Closed Pot

  • Pour 1¼ cups of water into a heavy-bottomed pan and bring it to a boil.
  • Add 1 cup (200 g) of rice along with salt, butter, or oil, if preferred.
  • Cover the pan and cook on low heat for around 10 minutes, or until the water is fully absorbed.
  • Serve hot with masala dal, curries, or chicken.

Microwave

  • Put 1 cup of rice into a deep microwave-safe bowl.
  • Add 2 cups of water and season with salt, butter, or oil if required.
  • Cover with a lid with a microwave-safe plastic wrap
  • Cook on high for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Let the rice stand for 5 minutes, fluff it gently, and then serve.
