Easy Chicken Tikka Lababdar Gravy – So Rich and Comfortingly Full of Flavour

Bring the traditional Mughlai sauce to your kitchen in an easy and approachable way. Made for those busy days, when you are craving for something fuller, deeper, and more satisfying than just everyday gravy.

The flavour leans into the familiar character of tikka-style cooking, with a smoky edge and a gravy that feels layered, smooth, and gently rich. It does not feel flat or one-dimensional. Instead, it gives you that slow-cooked feeling, where the gravy clings nicely to the chicken and carries enough richness to make every bite feel complete.

It is easy to prepare with chicken and cottage cheese as well. Here are two recipes you can try, depending on your diet pattern –

Chicken

  • Cut 450g of boneless chicken into 2cm (1’’) cubes.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a saucepan and fry the chicken until light brown.
  • Add the gravy to the pan and stir properly so that it does not stick to the pan.
  • Add a little water to adjust the consistency and cover it for 20 minutes on a simmer.
  • Check if the chicken is tender and soft. Stir a bit and serve hot with paratha or naan.

Vegetarian

  • Instead of chicken, add 500g of paneer (cottage cheese).
  • You can either fry it or use it raw

Note: You can top both variants with fresh cream and chopped coriander, that feels richly Indian in character.
